L’negdi Tamid

Setting the sacred before me always

And keeping it real

It’s never too late to take stock—or too early

As a society, we have such an intense fear of death that we deny it and pretend it’s not going to happen to us. As part of that denial, we separate the “elderly” by isolating and alienating our older population. We’ve all seen how that’s going for us!

But with age comes wisdom and the ability to be a mentor to those with less life experience, among other surprising things, despite what our culture teaches.

Dream your life. Build your life.

Imagine what you would like to be able to say about your life looking back.

Instead of talking about how old you are, announce proudly how many years of life experience you have.

Tell me more!

This is a class for people of any age who are ready for the deep spiritual work of facing one of the most challenging things about life: that we won’t be here forever, as much we’d like to believe it.

Through readings, storytelling, guided meditations, Jewish chant, you’ll go deep. You’ll get to write your own obituary, viduy (deathbed confession), and ethical will. Wow!
