My Podcast: “Real Rabbi NYC”

I like keeping things real, whether it’s talking about my own life, Judaism, or Torah.

Life is short. Sometimes it’s sweet and sometimes bitter. My attitude towards life and Torah involves both of these—with a good helping of reverence for the awesomeness of being here, and also irreverence and humor.

As a rabbi, I bring a unique perspective that comes from my Communist upbringing.

Judaism brought me sweetness, but also a lot to grapple with.

The podcast is short, sweet, irreverent, and funny. I always start with my own life and struggles, then branch out to the world and the lessons I can take from Torah on how to live a just and holy life, and keep laughing while I’m at it.

I bring you meaning in Torah, and new and relevant perspectives as I discover lessons along the way.
